I have always loved folk art. Especially primitive pieces. It is simple and straight forward, telling a story without the refinement of fine art.

The art in this section is made from paper clay. I sculpt the wet clay in bas-relief to create raised images which are then painted with acrylic paints and mediums. I use Creative Paperclay® which is an air-dried clay made from paper pulp, pumice and binders. It does not require firing or baking, but dries when exposed to air in about 24 hours. The end result looks a bit like and is often mistaken for carved wood.
