Lately I have been inspired by images from a book about German photographer Karl Blossfeldt (1865-1932). It is a complete collection of his published work by Taschen Publishing. His close-up views of tiny plants, both dead and alive, are haunting. At times he would construct images from plant parts.
I have been fixated on his images for weeks now. Using them as inspiration for my paper clay work. Of course I have added my own voice to them, making them my versions of his work. So don't think they are botanically correct.
I am completely captivated by his images. Just google his name and see his amazing work. I know you have seen them before.
